Can my dog go back to the dog walker now?

28th May 2020

The answer to this question is resoundingly yes and we can’t wait to see you!

Dog walkers have never been stopped from working during lockdown, as the Government recognised that we were providing a vital service to key workers and anyone who was unable to walk their own dog but obviously, as many of our clients were furloughed, the demand fell in some areas and some walkers themselves were unable to continue to provide dog walking services for various reasons eg vulnerable family member etc, unwell themselves etc

Petpals dog walks are open for business!

However, our message to you today though is that we are here, open for business, ready to see old and new clients and to get those doggies back out on their daily group or single walks! On the lead if necessary or off the lead if safe to do so.  The weather’s great and we’ve missed our walks with your furry friends.

Many of you have already started to get in contact with your local Petpals to get your regular walks back and we can tell you the teams are delighted to hear from you.

New guidance from CFSG – Cat and Feline Sector Group

As one of the most experienced pet care companies in the UK, we take the health and safety of our clients and their pets very seriously so we are delighted to report that the Pet Industry Federation and the CFSG have produced new guidelines that we will follow (and in some cases exceed) to maintain proper social distancing and sanitisation procedures as we carry on walking and boarding dogs following COVID-19.

Get in touch with Petpals!

If you would like to read the full report you can here or to see the CFSG guidelines, click here . In line with the guidance above we have drawn up the following safety steps we will take when walking and boarding dogs. If you have any questions at all please speak to your local Petpals.

We can not wait to see all your wonderful dogs again soon and wish you all a safe return to work.
