Job Summary

Petpals South Durham require host families for their dog home boarding service. We are looking for trustworthy, reliable pet lovers to provide a loving home environment as an alternative to boarding kennels, taking dogs into their homes as part of the family while their owners are away. Successful families will meet the following criteria.

Availability

You should be at home most of the day or able to take the dog/s with you if you are out for any length of time

Experience

Owned or looked after dogs and cats (Essential)
Understanding basic pet care requirements (Essential)

Qualifications

First Aid for Pets Certificate (Highly Desirable)
Relevant qualification in pet care (Desirable)

Skills (All Essential)

Willing and able to walk dogs in all weathers

Skills (All Essential)

Flexible and Personable
Remain calm in an emergency

Other Requirements

Must have safe and secure garden (Essential)
No young children under the age of 5, any dogs of your own to be fully socialised and neutered. (Essential)
